As box blight is rife at present, increasingly gardeners are turning to Ilex Crenata or Japanese/ box leaved Holly which can be grown in the same way but without the problems associated with Buxus- so as a hedging plant or as a topiary specimen.
Can be grown in loam clay sandy or chalky soil in any aspect in full sun or partial shade
